A hostel front desk guy in Prague changed how I pack for day trips
Last month I overheard this worker at the Hostel One Prague tell a guest to leave their big backpack behind and just take a canvas tote for a full day of sightseeing. He said the key is to buy a cheap metro pass for like $3 and loop back to the hostel mid-afternoon to drop off any heavy layers or snacks. I tried it the next day and honestly it cut my shoulder pain and my impulse spending on overpriced water and souvenirs near the castle. Has anyone else used a similar mid-day reset trick to avoid hauling everything around? I usually overpack for fear of needing something, but this felt way lighter.
