Appreciation post: the free walking tour in Lisbon is how I plan every city now
Was in Lisbon back in March and did the free walking tour in Alfama instead of paying 35 euros for the bus tour. The guide pointed out a tram pass deal and a 4 euro lunch spot that I never would have found on my own. Now I always look up free walking tours the first morning I get to a new city to get my bearings before spending anything. Has anyone found other cities where the free tour guides actually give good budget tips instead of just plugging paid stuff?
