Hostel in Lisbon jacked its price 40% in 3 weeks, same room

I booked a 6-bed dorm in Lisbon for 18 euros a night in early April. By the time I checked in 3 weeks later, the same bed was listed at 25 euros, and the place had swapped out free breakfast for a paid 4 euro spread. They also started charging 2 euros for locker use, which wasn't in the original booking terms. I asked the front desk and they said it's because of a festival, but the dates didn't line up with any local event I could find. Has anyone else seen hostels pull this kind of bait and switch within a short window, or did I just get unlucky with this one?
