I switched to overnight buses in Thailand and saved $200 in 2 weeks
Last month I was hopping between Chiang Mai and Bangkok using daytime trains and flights, burning through my budget fast. After a local told me about overnight buses, I tried one from Bangkok to Krabi for $12 and woke up right at the beach. The seats reclined far enough to sleep and they gave us a snack pack, so I skipped a night of accommodation too. Over 14 days I did 4 overnight trips and saved roughly $200 compared to my original plan. Has anyone else tried night travel for cutting costs on a trip?

man i feel this so hard. like yeah sure $12 doesnt sound like much but when you're broke and hungry that free snack pack hits different. its not about the money its about not having to choose between eating or saving a few bucks for something else. honestly sometimes those little freebies are the only good part of a rough day. glad you got something out of it man, seriously.

The overnight buses in Thailand are genuinely a game changer. I did the same thing in Vietnam and it saved me so much hassle and money.
