My cheap travel pillow exploded on a flight to Phoenix

This happened last Tuesday on a red eye. I had this inflatable pillow from a discount store, cost me maybe $5. About an hour in, the seam just gave out with a loud POP. It scared the guy next to me and left me with a flat piece of plastic. I ended up rolling up my jacket, which worked fine. Honestly, it taught me that some gear is worth a few extra dollars. Has anyone found a truly durable inflatable one that doesn't cost a fortune?

I mean, it's just a pillow popping, not the plane engine. Idk, maybe it's just me but that seems kinda funny.

Yeah, "just a pillow popping" is what I used to think too. But hearing that sound in a quiet cabin when everyone's already on edge, it hits different. Kinda changed my mind on it.
