Question about a weirdly cheap week I had in Krakow
Got a hostel bed for $8 a night because I booked for a Tuesday arrival and left the next Monday. The hostel gave a full week rate even though it was six nights. Anyone else find weird pricing gaps like that?

Remember my buddy booking a flight to Dublin, where a round trip ticket was somehow thirty bucks cheaper than a one-way fare on the same airline. He just bought the round trip and never used the return leg because it made zero sense. These pricing systems feel like they were set up years ago and nobody ever checks if the math still works.

Seen this with train tickets too. A monthly pass costs less than twenty daily tickets, even if you only ride fifteen days. Companies set these prices to push you into buying more than you need. They bank on you forgetting to cancel or not using what you paid for. The whole system is built on bad math that never gets fixed.

Happens with gym memberships too, they price monthly plans weirdly cheaper than weekly ones.

My gym charges 70 bucks for a month, but 40 for a single week. Their math is clearly done by the same guy who priced your hostel.
