Took me 3 tries and $60 in phone plans to figure out eSIM for my Japan trip
I spent almost two evenings trying to get my phone to work on an eSIM for a 10 day trip to Osaka, and the real fix was just turning off my home carrier line completely before scanning the QR code at the airport. I burned $60 on two different data plans that never activated because I kept my old SIM active during setup. The $9 Ubigi plan worked fine once I did that, and I felt silly for all the time lost. Has anyone else run into this, or is there a trick to keep both lines on without the eSIM failing?
