Update: I tried to save $15 on a hostel in Prague by booking a 'cozy attic room'
It was literally a converted broom closet with a mattress on the floor, and the 'window' was a skylight I had to use a broom handle to open. Has anyone else had a 'budget' room description be this hilariously wrong?

Honestly, that sounds kind of charming. I'd take a quirky broom closet over some bland chain hotel room any day.

Quirky broom closet" is a great way to put it. I used to want the fancy spots, but a weird little room with some real character is way better now.

My buddy booked a "garden view" in Rome once. It was a view of a concrete wall with a single sad potted plant on it.
