Am I the only one who checks the price per unit at the store and finds out the 'family size' is a rip off?
I was at a Kroger in Columbus last Tuesday and noticed the family size box of Cheerios was $6.29 for 18 oz while the regular box was $4.49 for 12 oz. That works out to 35 cents an ounce for the big box versus 37 cents for the small one, so the 'deal' size actually costs more. I started doing this on everything in my cart and saved $14 on that one trip. Has anyone else found a store where the bulk size is sneakily worse?
