Bought a $70 meal prep service to save money, ate freezer burned chicken for 3 weeks
I signed up for that cheap meal prep delivery in Austin thinking it would cut my food bill. The first box arrived with packaging that looked fine, but every single chicken dish tasted like it sat in a freezer for a year. I ended up tossing half of it and ordering takeout because I couldn't choke it down. Between the subscription fee and the extra DoorDash orders, I lost about $90 that week. My old routine of cooking 5 pounds of ground turkey on Sunday was way cheaper and actually edible. How do you guys vet these services before you hand over cash? I'm still mad about the dried out teriyaki.
