Compare grocery apps side by side for 6 weeks, one clearly won
Ran both a big chain app and a local discount store app for 6 weeks. Tracked every receipt in a spreadsheet. The local app saved me $47 on average per trip because the clearance section is way easier to sort. Big chain had better coupons but they expired faster than I could use them. Also the local app has a list feature that actually learns what I buy. Anyone else found that smaller store apps beat the big guys?
Double down on tracking those clearance deals, even make a note of what day they restock and snag the good stuff before it disappears. Eventually your local app's list will basically run your whole meal plan on autopilot.
