Dropped $220 on a used chest freezer off a guy's driveway and it already paid for itself
So my old fridge freezer was packed to the door and I kept tossing stuff I forgot about. Saw a beat up Kenmore chest freezer on a driveway in my neighborhood, guy wanted $250 and I talked him to $220. I almost passed on it because my garage is small and I wasn't sure it was worth the hassle. But I did the quick math on what I was throwing out every couple weeks and it stung, probably $30 to $40 of food going in the trash. Filled that thing with stuff I got on sale and bulk meat and it's already saved me close to what I paid. The thing hums a little loud and I had to buy a $12 thermometer to make sure it's holding temp right. Feels good when a purchase actually works out for once. Anyone else got a cheap used appliance that ended up being the best money they spent?
