Found a free community fridge behind the library downtown, been clipping my food bill by $40 a month
Last month I was waiting for a bus near the main branch and noticed a small painted fridge near the loading dock. Looked inside, it had day old bakery stuff and some produce. Now I swing by every Tuesday and Friday after work. The rules are simple, take what you need, leave what you can. My grocery run dropped from around $85 to $45 each week. Has anyone else found one of these in their neighborhood? Do they ever stock meat or dairy or is it mostly shelf stable stuff?
