Just realized my old grocery routine was costing me an extra $80 a month
I used to just wander the aisles at my regular store, grabbing whatever looked good. Now I plan meals for the week, make a list, and stick to the discount chain on the other side of town. The switch six months ago has me saving that $80 consistently. Anyone else have a specific store or routine that made a big difference for them?

Honestly, my old routine was just buying whatever was at the gas station. Tbh, I think the cashier thought I was trying to single-handedly fund their snack aisle.

That "single-handedly fund their snack aisle" line is too real. I used to be on a first-name basis with the night shift guy at my local spot. Pretty sure my constant beef jerky and soda purchases paid for his kid's braces. I had to start going to different stores just to avoid the shame. My car basically ran on nacho cheese and regret for a solid two years.

Eighty bucks a month is real money but I'm not giving up walking through whatever store I feel like just to save it.
