Put $40 a week into a jar since January and just hit $1,000 at my kitchen table in Dayton
I labeled it 'car repair' and somehow that made it easier to leave alone than a savings account ever did. Anyone else use a dumb physical jar instead of a bank?
$1,000 in a jar at your kitchen table is honestly more real than any number on a banking app. I do the same thing with a coffee can for truck tires, and yeah, seeing it sitting there makes me not want to touch it. Something about cash you can actually hold that a savings account just can't match.
