Rant: ate out 5 times last week in Boise, then tried the $60 grocery run instead
I figured cooking at home would eat up my evenings, but 3 dinners out of that $60 haul took about 40 minutes total and the leftovers covered 2 lunches. Anyone else surprised by how far a tight list goes once you actually skip the drive-thru?
What did the $60 haul actually include? I'm curious if it was mostly dry goods and canned stuff or if you got fresh meat and produce in there. Also, 40 minutes for 3 dinners sounds fast, were you batch cooking or just doing simple one pan meals?
