Why nobody talks about hitting $10k in savings for the first time
Tbh, I hit $10,000 in my emergency fund last month and it felt way bigger than I expected. I've been budgeting for about two years, mostly using a simple envelope system for groceries and fun money. That number mattered because it meant I could cover three months of rent and bills if I lost my job. I never thought I'd get there, especially after paying off $5k in credit card debt first. It's wild how one milestone can shift your whole view on money. Has anyone else felt that surprise when you hit a number you wouldn't let yourself believe was possible?
