A stranger on the train saw me bullet journaling and asked for tips.

My cousin showed me her bullet journal once and it looked like a museum piece. I figured you needed to be an artist to even start. Seeing someone just doing it on the train, probably making a messy grocery list, totally flips that idea. It goes from being a showpiece to a normal tool. That makes it way less scary to try for myself.

lol i used to think bullet journaling was just for super organized people, but seeing someone do it in public like that is actually kinda cool. makes it seem more doable for regular folks.

Totally get that. There's a weird thing where seeing someone do a normal task in public makes it feel less like a special skill. It's like when you see someone just reading a book at a coffee shop instead of being on their phone, it suddenly seems like a thing real people still do. Makes all those "perfect" hobby videos online feel a bit less intimidating.

Exactly, it's that real world proof that makes a difference. I saw someone knitting on the train last week and it just looked like a normal thing to pass the time, not some huge craft project. It cuts through all the polished online stuff where everything looks perfect. Makes you remember people just do stuff because they like it, not to post about it.
