Found a way to make my weekly spread actually useful instead of just pretty

I kept spending an hour on fancy headers and washi tape borders, but then I'd never look at the spread after Sunday. So I tried just using a ruler (a plain old one from the dollar store) and writing only tasks in black pen with a tiny dot for priority. Has anyone else scaled back their setup and found it helped them stick with it longer?

Exactly. I switched to a blank notebook with just a date and lost the washi tape entirely.

Huh, that's a smart way to go about it. I think the thing most people miss is that pretty spreads can actually work against you if you're not careful. When everything looks like a work of art, there's this weird pressure to keep it perfect. You stop wanting to mark things off or scribble notes because it ruins the look. Then you just stop using it altogether. A boring setup that actually gets used is way more valuable than a pretty one that sits in a drawer. You found the sweet spot.

Did you ever hit that point where you had a whole month planned out and then just gave up on it entirely?
