Lost a whole month of spreads because of one stupid pen decision
I was at a coffee shop downtown last Tuesday, finishing up my weekly layout with a new gel pen I grabbed on a whim. The ink smeared across two pages before I even noticed, and it hit me that this was the third time in a month my setup got ruined by some fancy tool I didn't need. My whole August spread turned into a blurry mess, and I had to rip out six pages and start fresh at midnight. What really pissed me off was my own stubbornness, I kept using that pen because I paid $8 for it and wanted it to work. I finally gave up and went back to my old ballpoint, which has never failed me once in two years. Now I'm stuck redoing my habit tracker, mood log, and expense pages from memory and I know I'm forgetting stuff. Anyone else have a favorite tool that just ruined their whole system out of nowhere? How do you decide when to cut your losses and switch back?
Honestly, I used to be all about trying every new pen and sticker set, but this post just convinced me to stick with my cheap Pilot G2 until the day it dies. That $8 pen could've been me, and the memory loss part hits way too close to home.
