My $3 dollar store stencil ruined my entire weekly spread
I grabbed this cheap stencil from the checkout aisle thinking it would save me time drawing boxes. But the plastic was so warped my ink bled under every edge and made all my lines look jagged and messy. I spent an extra 45 minutes trying to fix it with white gel pen before I just ripped the whole page out. Has anyone else had a cheap supply totally backfire on them? I'm going back to freehanding my headers.

Yeah I bought a pack of those cheap white gel pens once and they all came out looking like watery toothpaste no matter how much I shook them. Ended up using my kid's crayon instead and somehow that worked better than the actual "correction" pen. Sometimes you just gotta toss the whole thing and start fresh, it's not worth the headache.

That cheap stencil sounds like a total nightmare. Nothing worse than spending time on something only to have it look like a hot mess. I tried one of those flimsy templates once and ended up with ink all over my fingers and the page smudged to oblivion. Freehanding is always the better choice because you can control the lines. You saved yourself future frustration by ripping that page out. Cleaning up with white gel pen just makes things worse sometimes, right?
