My bullet journal fell in a puddle last week and I'm still mad about it
I was walking to my car after work in the rain, and my bag wasn't zipped all the way... my journal slipped right out into a huge puddle. It was a Leuchtturm1917 with three months of trackers and a custom weekly spread I just finished. I tried to dry the pages with a hair dryer, but the ink bled and the paper is all wavy now. Has anyone else had to rescue a soaked journal and found a way to fix the pages?

I saw a video where someone pressed their wet journal under a stack of heavy books for like a week. Honestly, it won't fix the ink bleed but it can help flatten those wavy pages a lot. Tbh the hair dryer might have set the stains by cooking them in. For next time, I read you should put paper towels between every page and change them as they get damp. It's a huge bummer about the Leuchtturm, those are nice books. I lost a sketchbook to a coffee spill once and the feeling is just the worst.

I mean the hair dryer thing can work if you keep it moving.

That paper towel trick is a lifesaver, honestly. It takes forever but it really does pull the moisture out. Seeing a good notebook get wrecked is such a gut punch. My heart sank just reading about the coffee spill, that's brutal. The wavy pages are a lost cause sometimes, but at least the writing is still there.

That's life, man. Everything pretty gets wrecked eventually.
