My coworker swore by washi tape dividers, worst advice ever
Katie from my office kept going on about using washi tape to mark weekly sections. Said it was a game changer for her bullet journal. I tried it for two months straight. The tape peeled right off the page corners, smeared when I wrote over it, and made everything look like a 5 year old's craft project. Ended up ripping out 6 pages and redoing them with a plain highlighter line. Highlighters never let me down. Has anyone else found a trendy hack that just flopped for them?
Ugh, tell me about it! I fell for the whole "painters tape as a washi alternative" thing from some YouTube planner person. Thought I was being clever and saving money. That stuff left a sticky film on every single page, and when I tried to peel it off a week later it took the top layer of paper with it. My notebook looked like a battlefield casualty, all pockmarked and gross. Ended up just drawing a dull pencil line down the margin with a ruler, super boring but it works every single time. Sometimes the basic stuff wins because it doesn't pretend to be something it's not.
