My journal for the week my store flooded was just a solid block of black ink.

The pipe burst on a Tuesday. Water everywhere. Had to manage the cleanup, insurance calls, the whole mess. Every night I'd open my bujo to log it. No fancy spreads. Just rapid logging with a black pen. Page after page of tasks and notes. No color, no trackers. Just pure function. It felt grim but looking back, it did its job. Got me through. Anyone else have a week where your bujo just became a bare bones survival tool?

Ha, I get what you mean but it's not literally solid black. @wyatt135, I read it as just page after page of dense black writing. That visual really does sum up those purely functional, no-frills crisis weeks perfectly.

Honestly, that sounds like a nightmare week. I feel for you, dealing with a burst pipe and all that cleanup is exhausting enough without losing your bujo routine on top of it. Tbh, those no-frills, just-get-through-it spreads are the ones that really prove a bullet journal's worth. When everything's chaos and you're drowning in tasks, the ability to just dump it all in black ink and close the book is a lifesaver. Ngl, some of my most useful pages looked like someone bled out a pen on them, but they still got the job done.
