My sister told me to stop buying expensive pens for my bullet journal and just use a basic Bic.

I finally tried it for a month and my daily logging actually got faster because I stopped worrying about making every entry perfect.

Honestly, the fancier the gear, the less you actually get done.

Ever try just using a cheap pen like @nguyen.blake said? It cuts out all the noise so you can just work.

Remember when fancy art markers were a big deal. I bought a whole set for sketching but spent more time picking colors than drawing. Switched back to a regular pencil and a cheap ballpoint, finished three times as many drawings that month. Sometimes the tool just gets in the way of doing the actual thing.
