Realized my weekly spreads were working against me after 2 years
I used to set up these huge vertical weekly spreads with time blocking down to the hour, color coded and all. Looked amazing. But every Friday I'd look back and see maybe 20 percent of it actually happened. Last month I caught myself rewriting the same three undone tasks into the next week for the fifth time and it finally clicked: I was using my bujo to plan the day I wished I had, not the one I actually live. My job has too many random interruptions. Now I just do a simple rolling task list on a single page and keep a tiny log for appointments. I get why people love the fancy spreads, but has anyone else found their real system only after ditching what looked good on Instagram?
