Reddit told me my weekly spreads were a mess and I actually listened

I posted a photo of my weekly layout in the bujo sub about 2 months ago and someone said "you're cramming 3 days into one column, that's why you hate using it." They were right - I switched to a two-page weekly spread with each day getting its own column and now I actually fill it in every morning instead of skipping a week. Anyone else get a tip from a stranger that totally fixed your system?

Did you try color coding your sections too? I read a blog post about using a different highlighter for tasks, events, and notes and it made my weekly spread way easier to scan in the morning. That one change saved me from constantly flipping between pages to remember what I needed to do.

Stick with sticky notes on the edges too, but I’ve noticed something bigger with this whole color coding thing. @the_anthony it’s like our brains just latch onto a color before they even read the words, you know? We do the same thing with food at the grocery store, or even sorting laundry. It’s just a shortcut for making sense of a messy world, whether it’s a planner or a closet full of towels.

Color coding is fine until you run out of certain highlighters on the go, that's why I just use different sticky note colors stuck on the edge of the page instead, no need to carry extra pens.
