Shoutout to the 3 lines per page habit that I defended for a year before it clicked
I used to cram 30 or more bullets onto one page because I figured fewer pages meant fewer notebooks and I was proud of that. Last Tuesday I flipped back through my January spreads and could not find one note about a client call in under a minute, so the system was really slowing me down. Do you keep it loose with a few lines a day, or do you write whatever fits and let the pages pile up?
Man, the "fewer notebooks" thing is such a trap. I did the same math in my head, like look at me, so efficient, and then spent all my time hunting for stuff instead of actually reading it. Going back through old pages is the real test and you found out the hard way, same as me. The search time is the hidden cost nobody counts when they brag about cramming it all in. I ended up flipping the whole thing around and now I'd rather burn three notebooks a year than lose ten minutes looking for one note. Turns out the log is only worth what you can find again.
