That color coding system my friend pushed on me actually worked...

My coworker Jenna kept telling me to use 5 specific highlighter colors in my monthly log but I thought she was just being extra... Tried it for my April spread and now I can find my appointments and tasks so much faster without reading every line... Anyone else have a system they were skeptical about that turned out to be a game changer?

Had a buddy at work who laughed at the idea of color coding until his wife set up a system for his calendar with green for kids stuff and orange for deadlines. He said it felt like a chore at first but after a week he realized he stopped missing his daughter's soccer games and actually got his reports in on time lol. Now he tells everyone about it even when they don't ask. @nancyjones his sticker story is basically the same energy but with more soccer moms involved i guess.

My friend tried a sticker system and said it changed everything for her.

Color coding saved me too but in a different way. I use a simple red for urgent, blue for work, green for personal, and yellow for bills. Anything else just clutters things up and I start ignoring it. The trick is picking colors that actually mean something to your brain, not just what looks pretty on the page. Once I stopped trying to be artsy and got practical about it, everything clicked. Now if I could just get my coworkers to stop using my highlighters I'd be set.
