That time someone told me my weekly spread was too cramped

About 2 years ago a friend in my bullet journal group looked at my weekly log and said I was trying to fit too much in each day. She pointed out I had 8 tasks for Tuesday alone plus meal notes and a habit tracker all on one line. I started leaving empty space between days and using only 3 tasks max per slot. Now my weeks actually feel readable and I don't skip entries because they look messy. Anyone else have a critique that actually made your system better?

Oh man, that's such a good point. I had the same thing happen when someone told me my daily logs looked like a mess of scribbles because I was trying to track water, mood, meals, and tasks all in one tiny box. I started using a separate section for notes and just listing 3 tasks max per day, and it honestly changed everything for me. Now I actually look forward to filling out my weekly spread instead of dreading how cluttered it gets. It's wild how one simple critique can totally fix your whole system, right?

@jakeb81 nailed it with the separate page for habit tracking. I do the same thing now. Mileage tracker on its own page, mood on its own simple scale. Keeps the daily box clean.

Gotta agree with @elliotm57 on this one. I used to cram water intake, mood, and 7 tasks into one tiny Tuesday box. Now I leave two lines blank per day and cap it at 3 tasks. My habit tracker goes on its own page. Feels way less like a chore to open the notebook.
