Tried a new pen on my journal and it bled through the page

I picked up a Sakura Pigma Micron 05 for my weekly spread, thinking it would be fine on my regular notebook paper. It went right through the page and smudged on the next one, ruining my tracker. I learned I need to test pens on a corner first, or get thicker paper. What's a good pen that doesn't bleed on 80gsm paper?

Oh man, "ruined my tracker" is the worst feeling. It's like the pen decided to go rogue and attack your future productivity. You get all set up for a good week and then bam, instant sabotage from your own supplies. I've done that exact thing, trusting a new pen only to have it ghost through the page like a horror movie. Honestly, it feels like a personal betrayal from an inanimate object. That's why my notebook's back pages are just a graveyard of ink tests now.

Okay but "personal betrayal from an inanimate object" is a BIT much, @riverh49. It's a pen. It's just some plastic and ink that failed. Calling it sabotage gives it way too much credit. Stuff breaks all the time, that's why you test it first. The real issue is getting that emotionally invested in a planner. It's paper, not a promise.

My 2017 bullet journal still has Sharpie ghosts.
