Tried one page per day for a month and ended up with 11 blank pages, now I'm second guessing the whole system
Last month I switched from my usual messy brain dump style to a strict one page per day setup, thinking it would keep me more organized, but I ended up skipping 11 days and just leaving those pages empty because I felt pressure to make each one look good. Now I'm torn between going back to my loose approach or pushing through with the daily page thing since so many people swear by it. Does anyone else find that a set structure actually makes them journal less, or am I just overthinking the blank page guilt?
Stop treating journaling like it's some kind of performance review. You skipped 11 days because you were living your life, and that's fine. The whole point is to get stuff out of your head, not to fill pages so they look pretty for some imaginary judge. If the daily page thing stresses you out, it's the wrong system for you, no matter how many people swear by it. Go back to the messy brain dump if that's what actually works, or just do whatever you feel like on any given day. The blank pages aren't judging you, you're the only one doing that.
