A guy in Toledo asked me why I keep giving my brother money, and it stopped me cold
I was at a poker game last Friday and mentioned my brother had asked me for $400 again after I already gave him $1,500 this year. A guy named Darryl I barely know looked at me and said, "so what does he do to earn it?" I couldn't answer that. I realized I had been calling it helping when it was really just me avoiding a fight. I finally told my brother no last week. Has anyone else had a stranger point out something obvious about a family situation that everyone else tiptoed around?
