Cut my sister off after what she pulled at my wedding reception
She showed up drunk to the venue at The Barn in Oakville, started yelling at the DJ to play her song over the first dance. I asked her to chill out, she called me a bridezilla in front of 80 guests. My mom said to just let it slide but I told her to leave or I'd have security walk her out. Anyone else have family ruin a big event and you just had to cut them loose for good?

...and honestly, I had to do the same thing with my own brother at my engagement party. He showed up late and started arguing with my fiance's dad about politics, total mess. I gave him two chances to calm down and he just kept pushing, so I had to ask him to leave. My mom was furious with me too, but here's the thing - I set that boundary and it made the rest of the night so much better (no drama, just happy people). It's been six months and we barely talk, but I don't regret it one bit because your wedding day is yours, not their drama stage.
