The three year gap between my parents dying and my sister's true colors
My mom passed in 2019 and my dad in 2021. For those three years my sister and I were tight, talking every week, splitting the funeral costs 50/50 without a single argument. Then probate hit and she turned into someone I never met before. She started claiming our dad promised her the hunting cabin in his will, but there was no will. I showed her the bank statements where I paid for his last six months of care, about $18,000 total. She said I was lying and that I was always the favorite. That was last October and I haven't spoken to her since. Has anyone else had a sibling flip completely once money got involved, even after years of being close?
