TIL that "closure" from an ex is overrated and so is meeting at our old coffee shop
Met up with my ex at the same cafe we used to hit every Sunday, figured one conversation would finally clear the air. Instead she spent 20 minutes telling me how much better her new car is than my used sedan, then left before I even finished my latte. The barista asked if I wanted a refill and I just laughed, paid $8, and walked out knowing I wasted 3 months of my life even trying. Has anyone else found that "one last talk" just gives the other person more chances to twist the knife, or am I the only one who expected something different?
