Took me 3 months to realize I was blocking my own texts

So I cut off my cousin after she stole my pressure washing rig and tried to sell it. I had her number blocked on everything for like 2 months. Then I started wondering why none of my friends were texting me back about a BBQ I was planning. Turns out I had my whole contacts list set to 'blocked' on accident after messing with the settings. Sat there for 45 minutes unblocking 60 people one by one. Has anyone else done something stupid like that after a big fallout?

I definitely believe that could happen on accident. My buddy Mike got into a huge fight with his landlord and went on a blocking spree. He somehow tapped the wrong menu and ended up blocking every single contact that wasn't saved in his favorites. He didn't notice for two weeks until his mom showed up at his door asking why he wasn't answering about Thanksgiving plans. He said it took him even longer than 45 minutes to undo because he kept second guessing who he actually wanted unblocked. Did you at least salvage the BBQ or did everyone just show up wondering where you were?

Minor correction, blocking your whole contacts list is actually pretty tough to do by accident in most phones these days (you usually have to select each one manually). Still, that sounds like a nightmare to sort through. Hope the BBQ still happened eventually.

Come on, @james_bell, I bet there's someone out there who did it by accident with one of those Samsung side-panel things or a smart watch glitch. You can't say it's impossible just because your phone is built different.
