Can we talk about the time a whole side of beef came in with the wrong tag?

Last Tuesday, we got a delivery labeled as prime rib, but the marbling was all wrong and the fat cap was way too thick. Had to stop the whole line for 45 minutes to sort it out with the supplier, which threw our whole prep schedule off. Anyone else had a mislabeled shipment mess up their day that bad?

We had a case of lamb come in last month marked for chops, but it was all shoulder cuts. Had to rework the entire special that night. The supplier swore the labels got swapped at their warehouse. Did you get any credit for the delay?

That sounds like a rough night. Did the supplier at least cover the cost of the extra labor, or was it like Michael's story where they just gave a weak apology?

Labels getting swapped is a CLASSIC move from suppliers. We did get a small credit but it barely covered the extra labor. @michaelgrant knows the drill with these warehouse excuses.

Was it as bad as @claire_grant34's lamb switcheroo? I mean, at least a side of beef is harder to misplace than a box of labels.
