Just had a full primal slip off the hook in the middle of a Saturday rush at my shop in Tacoma.

My local hardware store has a sign by the register about a missing socket wrench. It's the third tool that's walked off this month. Feels like everything's just a little less secure now, from fishing hooks to store shelves.

Yeah, that "everything's a little less secure" line really hits. It's not just stuff walking off shelves, it's like the whole idea of things staying put is broken. You can't trust a knot or a lock the way you used to.
