Switched from hand breaking to band saws last week. Huge difference in clean cuts.

I used to do all my primal breaks by hand with a bone saw and it was fine for years. Then we got a bandsaw in the shop and I finally tried it on a whole ribeye. Way less waste, way cleaner edges. Has anyone else made that switch and had a hard time going back?

Hold up, you were breaking down whole ribeyes with a HAND BONE SAW? That's absolutely INSANE to me. I can't believe you did that for YEARS and didn't lose your mind or a finger. I switched to a bandsaw about six months ago after fighting with a hand saw on some heavy beef ribs and I nearly threw the thing across the room. The difference is night and day, I will NEVER go back to hand cutting primal breaks. You must have arms of steel or something because I would have given up after the first month.

Make sure you keep extra blades in stock, they dull fast on heavy primal cuts.
