My $12 rice cooker just turned 11 and I've saved way more than I thought
Bought a basic 3-cup Zojirushi back in 2013 for $12 at a garage sale and it's still going, made rice in it twice a week the whole time. I did the math and that works out to about 9 cents per batch, which beats the $40 smart cooker that died on me in 2 years. Anyone else got an old appliance that just refuses to quit?
I used to figure new appliances last longer, but my parents have a 1986 Panasonic fridge that's still running like day one. Guess the old stuff really was made to last.
