My dad's old Stanley thermos still outlasts my new one

I dug his out of the attic when mine died after 3 months, and that thing still keeps coffee hot for 18 hours. The new one has a twist cap that leaks if you look at it wrong. Anyone else gone back to a family hand-me-down after dropping $40 on something modern?

Hated old gear for years, thought it was just nostalgia talking. But seeing that thermos crush your new one honestly made me rethink everything I know about buying new stuff.
