Appreciation post: switching from yellow glue to polyurethane cut my sanding time way down
Did a 12 foot maple countertop job in my shop in Toledo last week. Used to spend a solid 40 minutes sanding off squeeze-out with yellow glue. This time I tried polyurethane and it peeled off in one strip after curing, so I was done in about 8 minutes. The finish looked cleaner too, no more glue lines soaking into the grain. Anyone else made the switch, or do you still keep yellow around for certain joints?
