I finally figured out why my drawer boxes were always slightly off
Was fighting with a batch of 12 maple drawers for a kitchen remodel and realized after the third try that I'd been measuring from the wrong edge of the dado blade instead of the center, which is crazy because my buddy told me that exact thing 2 years ago at a shop in Portland, has anyone else had that lightbulb moment where a simple measurement trick saves hours of rework?

My buddy Mike spent a whole weekend building a set of mahogany shelves for his record collection and kept wondering why the dado cut on the right side was always 1/16" deeper than the left. He finally snapped a photo of his setup and zoomed in on his phone, and there it was - his fence was clamped at a slight angle because a dried glue blob was stuck under one corner. He told me he felt like a total idiot but also so relieved he almost cried.

Mike's fence had a glue booger. Classic.

Oh man, that glue blob thing got me too one time with a table saw sled.
