Picked up a used Festool Domino at a estate sale in Austin last month

The guy’s son just wanted it gone for $150 and I finally stopped fighting with dowel jigs for face frames, has anyone else gotten lucky finding high-end tools at weird places like estate sales?

Three estate sales in the last year got me a Bridge City corner chisel for $40 and a old Stanley #4 plane for $10. It's like people inherit tools and have no clue what they're worth, they just want the garage space back. The same pattern happens with vintage cameras and audio gear too, kids don't know a Leica from a point and shoot. You gotta hit those sales early on Saturday morning, that's when the good stuff slips through.

Man, that's a steal for a Domino. Nothing beats finding someone else's "junk" that you know is a game changer in the shop.

Estate sales are gold mines for Festool stuff if you get there early enough.
