Spent three days trying to get a simple drawer slide alignment right
I was fitting undermount slides on a built-in media cabinet, and the left side kept binding no matter how much I shimmed it. The cabinet opening was out of square by maybe an eighth of an inch, but it felt like a mile. I must have pulled that drawer box out and put it back in thirty times over the weekend. Finally, my buddy came over and spotted that the cabinet's face frame itself had a slight twist I hadn't caught. Had to plane a tiny bit off the back of the frame to get it to sit right. Anyone have a better method for checking for twist before you start installing hardware?

Ugh, I always check for twist with a long level across the face frame corners first.
