Tried Blum soft-close hinges on a kitchen job and now I won't go back to the cheap stuff

Did a full kitchen remodel in Minneapolis last month, 22 door fronts. I normally use the basic self-closing hinges from the big box store, about $3 a pair. Client wanted Blum, so I grabbed the 110 degree soft-close ones. Cost was $8 each but man, the difference is night and day. No slamming, no adjustment issues after three weeks, just solid operation. Have any of you guys seen a big jump in callbacks from using the cheaper hinges?

That part about adjustment issues really clicks with me. I've had cheap hinges start sagging after a few months and had to come back and tweak them, Blum seems to hold their settings way better long term.

@ivan_murphy80, you ever tried tightening cheap hinges more than twice without stripping them?

Blum's actually owned by Grass now so same parent company, but still better than cheap stuff.
