Tried the FCC complaint form after 3 calls about my dead internet, and the callback came from a number I didn't expect
My internet went out on a Tuesday morning in March and stayed dead for 11 days. I called support 3 times and each rep promised a tech would show up, but nobody ever did. So on day 6 I filed a complaint with the FCC online, and it took maybe 10 minutes to fill out. Two days later I got a call from a real person at the company's corporate office, not the regular call center. The tech came out the next morning and found a chewed line behind the box on the pole. The part that got me was the rep saying they get flagged hard when an FCC complaint comes in. Has anyone else gone this route and had it work this fast?
Did you have to wait long for the FCC to forward it to the company? I always figured those forms went into a black hole, but your story makes me want to try it next time instead of just calling over and over.
Wait, did it actually work that fast for you though? My cousin tried the FCC route over some billing mess and it took like six weeks, and by then the company had already "resolved" it on their end anyway. Not saying don't try it @elliotm57, but calling every day got me a real person way quicker than waiting on some form to float through the system.
