A customer in a new build on Elm Street told me my wall fish was too rough on their drywall.

They pointed out a bunch of little scuffs and a small tear near the outlet I came through. I always thought getting the line through was the only thing that mattered, but they were right, it looked messy. Now I wrap the tip of my fish tape in electrical tape and go way slower, especially in those paper-thin new walls. What's your trick for keeping things clean on a tricky fish?

Try a glow rod instead, way more gentle.

Glow rods remind me of those cheap light sticks at summer carnivals. My cousin got the liquid from one all over his hand once. Stained his skin green for like three days. Smelled like chemicals and regret.

Wrap your fish with a foam pipe insulation sleeve, it slides right through without a scratch. Even @smith.parker's cousin wouldn't get a green hand from this trick.
