I thought those cheap crimpers from Harbor Freight were a steal
Bought a set for $25 to save cash, but they mangled every single connector on a big apartment job in Tempe. Had to redo 40 terminations with my old Klein tools, costing me three hours and a ton of frustration. What's the cheapest crimper you guys actually trust that won't ruin your day?

Actually, those cheap crimpers can work okay for basic stuff like speaker wire. The real problem is using them on the small gauge stuff for data or low voltage. They just don't have the right die for a solid crimp on those connectors.

Forty terminations? That's a brutal way to learn a lesson. Harbor Freight is fine for some things, but their crimpers are basically just metal pretenders.

My buddy tried using their crimpers on a car stereo install. Let's just say his dashboard lights did a disco show for a week.
